Marta Fumagalli approached the music from an early age studying piano for years. After the graduation with honors in Modern Literaturen she started to study singing.

She brilliantly achieved the Diploma at Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Verdi” in Como, deepening then the research of the baroque repertoire with the countertenor Roberto Balconi.

As soloist she collaborated with many instrumental and vocal ensembles. Among them with Orchestra Sinfonica del Lario, the orchestras Nova et Vetera, I Pomeriggi musicali, Milano Classica, Il Diletto Moderno, Orchestra di Monza e della Brianza, Orchestra Guido d’Arezzo, Nuova Cameristica, Il Demetrio, Mycrokosmos, Ettore Pozzoli, Orchestra della Provincia di Lecco, Sinfolario, Camerata dei Laghi, orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio di Como, Polyphonia, Seicento Italiano, Quartetto a voce sola, Sine Nomine, Convivia Musica, Chanson d’Aube, Fantazyas, Cappella Mauriziana, Coro e Orchestra Città di Como, Coro Santa Maria del Monte, Coro Europae Cantores, Accademia Corale di Lecco, Modulata Carmina, Coro Benedetto Marcello, Coro Città di Saronno, Musica Laudantes, Laboratorio Armonico, Iubili Cantores.

In 2008 she was ranked fifth among nineteen competitors admitted to the final stage at the International Competition of Sacred Music in Rome and in 2009 she was finalist at the International Baroque Singing Competition “Francesco Provenzale” in Napoli (Centro di Musica Antica “Pietà de’ Turchini). Among the most recent productions she sang Weihnachts-Oratorium by Johann Sebastian Bach with the choir and orchestra of Fondazione Arena di Verona and the Petite Messe Solemnelle by Gioacchino Rossini at a twinning musical chorus with the Cappella Mauriziana and the Motettenchor of Füssen (Germany).
